Aspen Reflections

The Colorado Eyes Project

My new work explores the complex relationships between nature and culture through the lens of photography.      The new series allows the viewer to see through the artists’ eyes the interpretive process– showing cross-disciplinary works by 6 different artists.  The artists’ creations will include narratives and internal dialogs of their experience as they journey together, interpreting the same images in different media.

We are reaching a time where the virtual world in which we live and work holds a deeper connection and meaning for many than a simple walk in the woods.    As artists we look for the deeper meanings that lie beneath the surfaces of our daily lives in which technology is encroaching.  The artwork in the exhibition explores the theme of seeing through another’s eyes where the viewer can reconnect to nature through the artists’ vision.  The artwork in the exhibition explores a compelling theme: That each artist - and each person - can truly see through another’s eyes.
